4th Festivities at the All-Sports Museum
What: During Centre County’s July 4th Fest, the All-Sports Museum is open to the public from 10am-8:30pm. There will be a special showing of the movie Angels in the Outfield at 3:30pm in the Clemen’s Family Theater. Lion Cub Zone will be set up in the Founders Mall (BJC Mezzanine entrance parking lot) from 4-8:30pm. Fans, be sure to bring your camera and have your photo taken “in” Beaver Stadium, with a realistic backdrop, actual equipment from the football team, and replica equipment from the early 1900s. Additionally, we will have a special scavenger hunt, with prizes for those who participate.
When: Saturday July 4 from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm

To paraphrase Mark Twain: The reports of higher education’s death have been an exaggeration. American universities produce more research and relevant knowledge for the world at large than any other institutions I know of. Tuition may be too damn high, but over the long-run, undergraduate degrees are definitely worth the cost. But Penn State could be so much more. It used to be, I think.
