If you dig a hole and plant your laptop in it you won’t find any green sprouts poking up come spring time and your computer will be just plain dirty, or ‘dirtier’ depending on how you’ve been spending your time lately. Luckily, Dell Computers, in cooperation with Penn State, has found a way to combat […]

The other evening after class I decided to venture over to Graham Spanier’s backyard across Park Ave. and check out the recently completed Arboretum at Penn State. The project, finally completed in the spring of ’09, has been planned since 1996. It took $10 Million in donations in order to finally break ground in 2007. […]

I glanced at the Collegian and decided today must be April Fool’s Day. Then I realized it was still September and bellowed with rage because SIMMONS IS CLOSING. Simmons Dining Hall fully caters to health-conscious students. AKA they actually serve vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats. Students flock to Simmons like the salmon of Capistrano. […]

Alum Don Abbey is pissed. He sank good money into Beta, and the brothers repaid him by generally vandalizing and trashing the place. Abbey’s site, 220northburrowes.com, has hundreds of pictures of Beta indiscretions. Documented on the site is the fraternity’s conduct file, dating back to 2007, and police record, dating back to 2006, as well […]

Have you eaten at Redifer? Has the seemingly-complicated composting system confused you? Well pay close attention, since the university may eliminate the entire program. Since 1997, Penn State’s Project Earth Grow has collected napkins and food waste from dining halls, campus hotels, and the daycare center. OPP amasses this hodgepodge of organic matter, about 342,000 […]

Last Friday, while on my way to Paternoville, I decided to stop in at the Penn State All-Sports Museum, located in the southeast corner of Beaver Stadium on the ground floor. I had never been before, and I figured that it could be pretty interesting. After talking with the employees at the front desk I […]

Kirk Herbstreit and Rob Stone paid a visit to Paternoville last night to see what all the fuss was about. I don’t think they’ve ever had more fun.

I’ll admit it. I didn’t grow up watching Penn State football. I’m not even from Pennsylvania. And I definitely can’t recall endless facts about the Penn State Football Program. But what I can tell you is that ever since my first Penn State Football game Freshman year, I’ve known that what happens over at Beaver […]

Update 10:36 am: The concert has been canceled. The tip we received said that the cancellation came after Roy Baker was involved with the situation. Additionally, the Collegian reported this morning that the President of the Panhellanic Council was recommending sorority women not attend the event due to the conflict with Dado’s official viewing today […]

The SlouchBack was introduced this summer by two recent college grads aiming to give those with even the smallest dorm rooms access to a comfortable couch. It is an inflatable cushion that turns any bed into a couch. When the FedEx box containing our SlouchBack arrived, I was surprised at its size. In its deflated […]

Over 110 tents and near 1000 residents staked their claim on the Beaver Stadium grounds in a celebration of Penn State Football and in the name of revenge. The crowd came to a frenzy at 12:00 as tents were erected and Paternoville officially got […]
