Captain Clark Leads PSU to a Win Against Michigan State
Penn State beat Michigan State 42-14 in East Lansing this afternoon, ending regular season play with a 10-2 record (6-2 Big Ten record).
Darryl Clark ended the game with a handful of new accolades. According to Patriot-News’ Bob Flounders, Clark walked away with records in career touchdown passes (42), single-season touchdown passes (23), and single season yardage (2,787).
Flounders also included JoePa’s post-game thoughts.
“Clark had a good ballgame,” Paterno said. “First quarter, he struggled a little bit until we got a couple things pinpointed and then he was fine.
“He’s been fine all year. The kid’s lost what, four games in two years? He’s a darn good quarterback.”

To paraphrase Mark Twain: The reports of higher education’s death have been an exaggeration. American universities produce more research and relevant knowledge for the world at large than any other institutions I know of. Tuition may be too damn high, but over the long-run, undergraduate degrees are definitely worth the cost. But Penn State could be so much more. It used to be, I think.
