Old Main Background in SNL Sketch About College Drug Bust

This weekend, as I was watching Saturday Night Live, I thought I noticed something familiar during a sketch about a drug bust at a prestigious NYC school… It’s not too hard to figure out what school they were making fun of.

Upon further inspection, I realized that our very own Old Main was being used in the background to represent the college campus. While it’s great for Penn State to get some air time, I’m not sure whether I should feel offended or honored.

With rows of rocking chairs out front, checker boards and a game of peg solitaire at every table, I could have been at any franchise location in the country — not that that’s a bad thing.
