Schedule of Welcome Week Events

In celebration of the fall semester’s commencement, a variety of Welcome Week activities will be held throughout campus. So whether you’re a freshman ready to sample everything Penn State has to offer, or a returning student just looking to get back into the swing of things, be sure to take note of these events, and see if there’s something there for you.

Involvement Fairs

Alumni Hall in the HUB will play host to involvement fairs, running Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Stop by to learn how to get involved in student organizations, volunteering opportunities and Greek life. And while you’re at the HUB, you can stop by the poster sale, which will be held all week, to add some color to those monotonous dorm and apartment walls at an affordable price.

Target Late Night

Thursday night from 10:30 pm until 12:30 a.m., Target on Colonnade Blvd will have special extended hours and deals for students. Transportation is free and provided, and buses will depart every 20 minutes from stops at East, West North and Pollock/South Halls. For more information, check out the Facebook event page.

FreshSTART Day of Service

Penn State’s largest day of service will be held Saturday morning. The day is open to all first-year, transfer or change-of-campus students and is a great way to begin involvement with the State College community. For more information, visit the FreshSTART website, or the registration page here.

Individual residence area governments will also host events during the week. For residence areas not listed, check out signs around your halls and commons or read Stall Stories for more details.
