Wale Announces Penn State Performance

Update 1:56 pm… SPA is bringing Wale to the HUB Alumni Hall at 9:30 pm on Friday, October 21. There are no tickets, as the show is first come, first served.

Maybach Music Group’s Wale (@Wale) will be PSU chillin’ on Friday, October 21 according to his official website. As part of the Ambition tour, Wale will be rocking Penn State alongside Black Cobain and Turntable.fm. The venue and ticket price have yet to be confirmed, but we’re on it.

The last time Wale was at Penn State he was opening act for runnin’-shit rap mogul, Jay-Z, back in 2009. Now, making moves in the music industry, Wale will be returning to Happy Valley as a headlining act. His recent success can be attributed to his social conscience lyricism and a flow that rides smoothly over rough crunch-heavy beats. Wale even gives a shout out to the Nittany Lions in the track “Barry Sanders” off of the 2011 release The Eleven One Eleven Theory.

An Octobeter 15 show will also feature Philly’s Meek Mills and rapper Pusha T. Hopefully they’ll make their way west for the Penn State show.

So, stay chillin’ while we gather more information.
