Pennsylvania Senator Files Resolution Congratulating THON
While THON was busy last week announcing the 2013 Overall Committee that would team with 2013 Overall Will Martin, a Pennsylvania senator also took the time to acknowledge the philanthropic event before Congress in Washington D.C.
Pennsylvania senator Bob Casey (D) introduced the following resolution last Thursday:
Students are always expressing their desire for more media coverage and national recognition during THON weekend each February. While this is not necessarily CNN or some other national newscast; it is nevertheless, something to be proud of.
THON - The IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON), the most ubiquitous event on campus, has been in existence since 1973. THON currently benefits the Four Diamonds Fund at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Children’s Hospital and has raised over $100,000,000 since its inception. Read more
