“The Boss” is Coming to the Jordan Center

UPDATE (July 26): This show has been confirmed by the BJC. Tickets will go on sale for the show on August 4 at 10 a.m. Detailed ticket information (prices, etc) will be released on July 30.

Breaking from the bass-heavy, neon EDM shows that have been filling the Bryce Jordan Center of late, Penn State will play host to The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen and the legendary E Street Band will bring their Wrecking Ball tour to State College on November 1st.

With a career spanning over five decades, Springsteen’s songs have become a quintessential part of Americana and have earned him the title of one of Rolling Stone’s Greatest Artists of All Time.

Tickets information has yet to be released, however Ticketmaster had the show on their website for a brief period yesterday, and other sources have started to leak information about the show. Calls to the Bryce Jordan Center were not returned.

Since his last appearance at the BJC in 2009, Springsteen released his 17th album, Wrecking Ball, which has since become his tenth chart-topping album. For a preview of the Springsteen’s latest release, check out the album’s lead-off single, “We Take Care of Our Own.”
