In order to be excited about what is to come in the future, it is important to understand and appreciate the past. This coming Saturday marks the most anticipated contest to date in a new era of Penn State Football as the Nittany Lions take on the undefeated No. 9 Ohio State Buckeyes. But big games against Ohio State are nothing new. Today, we are looking back at the 2008 matchup. Since this will be the only road game featured, the format is a bit different. We are talking to Ben Lerman (@blerms) who was in Columbus for the game and Evan Smith (@SportsNTheatre) who watched the action on television from campus.
Every year there are extremely original costumes, cliché costumes, scary costumes, sexy and innuendo costumes, some that are hilarious, and some that are downright ridiculous. After grinding out a tough 3-2 win over the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, the Women’s Volleyball Team (21-1, 11-0 Big Ten) traveled to Iowa City and rebounded with a sweep of the Iowa Hawkeyes last night, 25-15, 25-19, and 25-15. And yes, the team has been so dominant that it can in fact bounce back from a win, since close games are so far outside of the norm for this team.
I'll admit it. I had extremely low expectations when I downloaded Fight On State, the new iPhone game developed by Penn State senior and Blue Band trumpeter Max Besong yesterday. Based on the simplicity of the preview, I totally expected to be trashing this game, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and how fun it is to play.
