MGMT To Headline Movin’ On 2013

The 2013 Movin’ On CORE Committee announced this afternoon that MGMT will be the headlining act as part of the annual free concert. The spring musical festival will be held on April 26, 2013.

Electrified alternative rock group, MGMT, first became popular with the release of the album, Oracular Spectacular, which features hits including;  “Electric Feel,” “Kids,” and “Time to Pretend.”

The band went in a different direction with their second album, Congratulations. The 2010 release resonates with a more introspective style of psychedelic pop with electro-trance sympathies and a less catchy songwriting than that featured on Oracular Spectacular.

The group has also collaborated with rapper Kid Cudi on the well-known hit, “Pursuit of Happiness.”
