Jerry Sandusky Appeals to Superior Court
The desperate appeals process continued for Jerry Sandusky today, as his lawyers filed an appeal to the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. The short notice can be found here.
Sandusky’s attorney Joe Amendola has maintained that he and his defense team did not have adequate time for prepare for trial in June, despite the lower court upholding the decision last month.
At the very least, the appeal could buy Jerry Sandusky another day out of prison and in the courtroom if the court decides to hear the appeal. He is currently being held at Camp Hill prison in what is essentially isolation, as he spends 23-hours a day in his cell.
