Snow Emergency Declared in State College


It’s already starting to look like a winter wonderland in downtown State College this afternoon. The State College Borough Manager has declared it a snow emergency, and all cars much be removed from street parking until the snowfall stops so crews can clean the streets.

The Penn State Campus Weather Service is predicting up to 8 inches of snow today in State College (see graphic above).

Downtown - Located in Centre County, Pennsylvania, State College is a college town heavily influenced by the campus life of Penn State University and have gained the nickname "Happy Valley" for its resilience during the Great Depression.
