Annual Fall Housing Fair Scheduled for This Weekend

Maybe you’re a freshman and can’t wait to get out of the dorms. Or maybe you’re a sophomore and still can’t wait because you missed the deadline on finding friends to live with last year. Or maybe you’re a junior and you found those friends finally, but you can’t stand their whole “we-want-to-never-do-the-dishes-or-buy-paper-towels-and-have-parties-every-night” thing.

Well, Penn State has people like you all figured out. The Fall 2014 Housing Fair is this Sunday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Alumni Hall. The Housing Fair is “a resource for students who are even thinking about moving off-campus into the community.”

Every year, multiple organizations come together to sponsor the event for students to ask questions and learn more about the process of moving off campus. The local landlords, property managers, business and bank representatives of State College always make an appearance to provide as much information as possible without the pressure of signing leases on the spot. They’ll be showcasing their properties and scheduling tours, too.

Don’t think you can make it? Don’t sweat it. There’s always the Spring 2015 Housing Fair, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31. Parents, friends, and families are also welcome to attend.
