Men’s Basketball to Hold Open Scrimmage Next Weekend

Penn State men’s basketball will host an open scrimmage for tailgating-averse fans prior to football’s Ohio State game at 2 p.m. next Saturday, Oct. 25 in the Bryce Jordan Center.

The Blue-White Scrimmage is free to the public and the BJC doors will open at 1:30. Fans who attend will get a free season poster in addition to a glimpse at Patrick Chambers’ fourth squad in action. If you’re doing Nittanyville that week, you get some extra stuff — the first 100 campers to attend the scrimmage will get handwarmers, lip balm, and protein bars to help them “stay #relentless” for the football game, as the press release so cornily puts it. Afterward, the players will be available for autographs.

Penn State basketball’s first home game of the year is at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 against Morgan State. Make sure you circle the home game on Feb. 18 against No. 4 Wisconsin, as Penn State always seems to notch a late-season home upset lately.
