Women’s Volleyball Announces Promotional Schedule

Penn State women’s volleyball is on a two-week road trip, but just released plenty of reasons to get excited for its return to Happy Valley. There are exciting promotions and events scheduled for eight of the team’s remaining 10 regular season home games. We’ve got them all summarized for you to make sure you won’t miss out.

White Out! vs. Wisconsin — Wednesday, Sept. 23

The team’s first promotional event and its Big Ten opener is a white out, as the Nittany Lions face off with the 2014 Big Ten Champion Wisconsin. It will also serve as a rematch of the 2013 National Championship and 2014 Elite Eight match, both of which saw Penn State as the victor.

Camper Night vs. Minnesota — Saturday, Sept. 26

For anyone who attended a women’s volleyball camp over the summer, we come bearing good news. Camper Night is dedicated to those who spent their summer dedicated to the team — tickets are discounted for the returning campers who want to attend.

Dig Pink! vs. Iowa — Saturday, Oct. 3

Penn State’s annual “Dig Pink!” match will occur on Saturday, Oct. 3. Fans will be given pink shakers and are encouraged to follow the theme and wear pink to the game. There will be pink Penn State shirts available for those who forget, as well as a silent auction featuring worn pink Penn State warmup t-shirts. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Penn State “Dig Pink” profile, which works with the Side-Out Foundation. Military Appreciation Night vs. Indiana — Oct. 16

Penn State volleyball has dedicated a night to honoring all the brave men and women who serve and protect our country everyday. Fans who attend the match will receive Penn State women’s volleyball military dog tags.

Postmatch Autographs with #PSUVB vs. Purdue — Oct. 17

Immediately following the game, fans will have an opportunity to attend a signing session with the back-to-back NCAA National Champions.

Halloween at Rec Hall vs. Ohio State — Oct. 30

Come dressed in costume! Fans will receive candy at the door and kids will be able to participate in a parade on the court during intermission.

#PSUVB Night! vs. Michigan — Nov. 18

Fans will be given a Penn State volleyball cell phone holder for attending the match while supplies last — be sure to get there early!

Senior Night vs. Northwestern — Nov. 25

Say goodbye to seniors Lara Caraway, Megan Courtney, Kendall Pierce, and Aiyana Whitney as they participate in their last regular season home game. Don’t miss out on one of the last chances you’ll have to watch them play in a Penn State uniform, and cheer them on before they begin their (likely) campaign in the NCAA Tournament.

Clear your schedules and plan on coming to Rec Hall for the team’s promotions coming up, and be sure to follow along as Russ Rose’s squad tries to continue its dominance while providing the most entertaining show in college volleyball.
