Best Eats At THON 2016

46 hours of constant standing and moving can be taxing on the mind, body, and soul even for non-dancers. While those dancing in THON have their own eating arrangements set up on the floor, concession stands located throughout the Bryce Jordan Center offer plenty of tasty treats for THON-goers.

There’s plenty of delicious food on the menu, but we went and singled out the best food THON has to offer.

Berkey Creamery Ice Cream

Though the actual Creamery is currently undergoing renovations, THON-goers with a sweet tooth can swing by the handful of ice cream stands located throughout the concourse to satisfy those cravings and indulge in the creamy goodness. Spectators can choose between cookie dough, vanilla, chocolate, death by chocolate, cookies and cream, and the ever-popular Peachy Paterno at $6 per pint. Dippin’ Dots are also being offered, but let’s be honest — nothing beats a pint of the greatest ice cream in the world on the best weekend of the year.

Pulled Pork Pretzel Sandwich And Walking Tacos

THON Menu

For those in the mood for something filling, the BJC’s got you covered. Plenty of tasty options are available, but the pulled pork pretzel sandwich and walking taco stand out among the rest. The walking taco features everything a hungry THONer could want — meat, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. Put it in a portable Doritos wrapper, and you’re eating on the move in style. The pulled pork pretzel sandwich combines two savory delicacies to create a mouth-watering slice of heaven. Sure, it’s a bit pricy, but it’s definitely worth every penny. Add a little mayo, and this beast of a sandwich will alleviate the hungriest appetites.

Pretzel Revolution’s Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Pretzel

THON food

At $9, this colossal meat-filled treat is the priciest item available. It might leave wallets bare and dry, but is sure to keep stomachs full and spirits high for all 46 hours. If you’re going to drop $9, you might as well foot the extra dollar for some dipping sauce to complement. If buffalo chicken isn’t enticing enough, pizza stuffed and ham options are available to please the pickiest of eaters.
