Movin’ On Releases 2016 Battle Of The Bands Lineup

Penn State Movin’ On officially announced the nine artists and bands set to compete in its annual Battle of the Bands contest for the chance to open up for headlining acts such as WALK THE MOON and Nelly for this year’s upcoming spring music festival.

In the past, Battle of the Bands has always skillfully rounded together a lineup that features an array of different genres, encapsulating the best of central Pennsylvania’s talented music scene and culture here at Penn State. While many of the names are little-known at this point, this year’s hopefuls are no different and are expected to undoubtedly rock Alumni Hall when the spotlight hits.

The 2016 lineup is:

  • Abstract Theory
  • Cecil Blutcher
  • Glory Days
  • Kenny Sukitch
  • MFB
  • Proper Fool
  • Shalom Dubas
  • Strength In Allies
  • The New Feel

The Battle of the Bands’ free-admission event will be held in the HUB at Alumni Hall on Friday, April 1 at 9 p.m. The nine contestants will be allotted only 15 minutes to prove to the panel of judges, and the music fans in the audience, why their sound is good enough to be the coveted opening act for the top artists in the country on Movin’ On weekend.
