THON Announces 2018 Theme: ‘Discovering Tomorrow’s Wonder’

Following longstanding tradition for THON and Homecoming, the THON Executive Committee announced the theme for THON 2018 before the Homecoming parade kicked off this evening. Your 2018 THON theme is “Discovering Tomorrow’s Wonder.”

“‘Discovering Tomorrow’s Wonder’ is a continual uncovering and accomplishing of something great,” THON explained. “Whether that be our supporters growing and reaching new heights, children continuing to find beauty in the world, or researchers exploring groundbreaking treatments, we move forward together. ‘Discovering Tomorrow’s Wonder’ fosters vision of the possibilities of what can be accomplished when the entire THON Community unites.”

Revealing the theme is always a major milestone in the journey toward THON. Now that the theme is released and 100 Days ‘Til THON is behind us, steam will begin to pick up and activities like family carnival are just around the corner.

“The Executive Committee is thrilled to announce the theme for THON 2018! Every day is a new opportunity for discovery — whether that be through the cutting-edge research of the Four Diamonds staff, innovative fundraising efforts of THON volunteers, or love shared between a parent and child,” THON 2018 Public Relations Director Haley Staub said. “We hope that this theme will continue to inspire the THON Community in its efforts towards creating a brighter tomorrow, today.”

The theme, as most, is transcendent of THON’s overall mission but will be especially prevalent throughout the journey to and during THON 2018. “This year’s theme is about the potential to change someone’s life, make a positive impact in their day, and take steps towards finding a cure. It means having the ability to have another day, smell the fresh air, and smile,” THON further explained.

Keep an eye our for the THON float during the Homecoming Parade tonight. We dance in 98!
