SAAB To Host Third Annual Lip Sync Battle To Benefit THON

The Student-Athlete Advisory Board will host its third annual Lip Sync Battle at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 24 in the HUB’s Freeman Auditorium. Proceeds from the event will be donated to THON.

All teams in the athletic department are invited to participate by putting together a performance during which they lip sync and dance to popular songs. The event serves the additional purpose of allowing teams to brush up on their moves ahead of February’s popular and highly competitive THON Pep Rally dance competition.

Last year’s THON Pep Rally highlights featured a win for the men’s gymnastic team, who stunned the crowd with their acrobatic moves. A Lion King-inspired routine from women’s volleyball and a men’s soccer throwback featuring denim vests and cutoffs were impressive runners-up.

All community members are welcome to attend the event. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $4.99, and both LionCash and cash will be accepted. And for good measure, just in case you’re blanking on what a lip sync battle looks like:
