Penn State Acquires Phi Delta Theta House

Yep, it finally happened. On Friday, Penn State acquired the former fraternity house of Tau Delta Phi/Phi Delta Theta for $1.5 million. Regardless of the vandalism that took place days before the acquisition, Penn State agreed to pay the original price, set back in March. Penn State spokeswoman, Lisa Powers, stated that the Phi Delta Theta Alumni group, who previously owned the property, cleaned up and repaired as much as they could before the property closed.

As of now, no plans for the house have been released from the University, but according to StateCollege.com, Powers said that one possibility is to clear the house and create some green space.

What would you like to see become of the former fraternity house?
