Centre Stage to Kick Off 25th Season

If you are a long-term theatre lover or just looking for an escape from the oppressive heat that State College has been experiencing lately, June is shaping up to be a decent month. Pennsylvania Centre Stage will be kicking off its 25th year on June 2nd with “Wait Until Dark.”

According to the Centre Stage website:

“Wait Until Dark” is a suspenseful, frightening and utterly compelling evening of theatre as a blind woman struggles to outwit three sinister men, using the only weapon she has – total darkness.

Of perhaps more interest to the common PSU student, the production is entirely and professionally cast from Penn State alumni and current students. Included in this group is the omnipresent Bob Clendenin, known for his roles in “My Name is Earl,” “Cougar Town,” and “Scrubs.” Try not to double-take, sit-com fans, if you spot the easily recognizable alumnus hanging around downtown. With a talented and professional cast, “Wait Until Dark” looks to be well worth your time, especially on a groggy summer afternoon.

The show will run from June 2nd to June 12th, with tickets ranging from $24 to $55. You can buy them online here.
