The Stately Inquisitor
Here at Onward State, we especially enjoy it when people comment on our posts. In fact, it makes us downright giddy. Question of the Day is a feature on OS that begs to know what you think. Here’s how the game works: Step 1: Read the question. Step 2: Answer the question. Step 3: Rinse and Repeat. Please don’t hesitate to be hilarious and/or original.
A great part about being me, the Stately Inquisitor, is that I get to schedule early. I’m talkin’ real early. Like before the Honors College Kids early. Over the past few semesters, I’ve sketched out my schedule by hand, used Google Calendar, and used a variety of online services to try to work out a slammin’ good schedule. So my question for you today is:
What do you do to prepare your class schedule?
Be sure to list web services you might use or resources you know of.
Think Wallypalooza is a bad name for a music festival? You’re not the only one. UPUA is looking for suggestions to rename the festival.
Though it is yet to be decided how the final name will be picked, any and all suggestions are welcome. To submit your idea, tweet your name to@UPUASpringFest. We’d like to know, too.
What should UPUA’s Spring Music Festival be called?
Also, volunteers are still needed. Their next meeting is Monday at 7:30 p.m. in 262 Willard and is open to anyone interested.
So I was loggin’ onto the wireless internets in my apartment building today and saw some pretty good networks names (also known as SSID’s). So my question is:
Are there any hilarious/awkward/ridiculous Wi-Fi networks in the area where you live?
Note: I’ve never tried to connect to “thirdflohoes” for fear of getting a virus (see photo).
Another note: lol.
With Wallypalooza looking downright Athenian in its level of democracy this year, we’ve decided to consult the masses on their musical preferences for this year’s show. So…
Who should play at Wallypalooza 2010?
Best part about today’s question: Wallypalooza may actually consider your suggestions.
One of my favorite commercials right now are those toilet paper commercials where they ask the question: under or over? Personally, I’m an over kind-of-guy but it got me wondering what my dear Onward State readers were partial to. So please, tell me:
Do you prefer under or over?
For fun, check out this site for why over is actually better. It’s got good pictures an everything.
So Penn State gets a handful of decent music acts every year or so. I like Jay-Z just as much as the next guy, but with a school as large as Penn State with a venue as impressive as the BJC, I would figure we’d have a schedule packed full of incredible music acts. So my questions is:
What band/artist/music act would you like to perform at Penn State?
Special Note: The commenter than recommends anyone from Jersey Shore gets negative infinity points.
So Apple just announced their new tablet, dubbed the iPad, and has taken over the blogosphere in the process. The device will cost you $499 (for the base 16gb model without 3G) and is a essentially a mashup of the iPhone and a Kindle/Nook. So I want to know from you, the Penn State public:
Are you going to buy an iPad? If so, what do you plan to use it for?
Here are the rules:

I don’t know about you, but I had a great long weekend. The Lederhosen party I went to on Saturday night was amazing, despite my lack of Bavarian heritage. When I awoke to find one of my suspender straps missing, I began to wonder:
