Pennsylvania State University is a land grant institution founded in 1855. Penn State is one of the country’s most renowned public research universities and boasts an enrollment of about 100,000 students across its 24 campuses.
The Board of Trustees consists of Penn State alumni, Pennsylvania governor’s appointees, agricultural society delegates, business and industry representatives, at-large representatives, a student trustee, and an academic trustee. The full board meets bi-monthly and is currently chaired by Mark Dambly.
President Eric Barron’s office is housed in Old Main along with other administrators like Vice President for Student Affairs Damon Sims and Provost Nick Jones.
