PSU Alum Producing EDM Party Anthems

It’s not hard to tell that electronic dance music (or EDM) is quickly taking over the popular music scene. Having produced electronic music for over 7 years, PSU alum, Mob Device (real name Tim Kolstrom), has recently been gaining attention for his remix contest submissions on Beatport.

Placing in the top 5 in the Ultra Records sponsored competition, Mob Device’s new style of mid-tempo dance music has been likened to the latin-inspired moombahton genre, combining the grittiness and raw energy of electro house. In October, his remix of Zeds Dead & Omar LinX was featured on and Moombahton.NET, gaining around 3,000 plays and 400 downloads and counting. You can listen and download for free here.

Mob Device has recently submitted an entry in the Beatport contest for house music producer A-Trak’s hit, “Like the Dancefloor”, and needs your vote. You can listen to his remix here and vote with a Beatport account.
