Saquon Barkley Goes Skies Out, Thighs Out At Met Gala

Saquon Barkley did not disappoint when he was invited to this year’s Met Gala, the annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, known for the stylish ridiculous outfits worn by the super famous and elite invitees.

Barkley made his Met Gala debut in a sleek all-black tuxedo but made sure to chop his pants into shorts in order to showcase his quads, his most prized possessions and arguably greatest features (but the dude is an all-around Adonis so there is plenty of debate here). The ‘fit was reminiscent of LeBron James’ playoff look last season.

At the event, Barkley reunited with former New York Giants teammate Odell Beckham Jr. and made sure to roast his outrageous sleeveless tux/kilt/baseball cap combo on his Instagram story.

Barkley and Beckham then posed with some fellow football players, including the New England Patriots’ Tom Brady, a Met Gala regular who decided to upgrade from his “Evil Magician” costume from last year, and Julian Edelman, who received an invite because being named Super Bowl MVP in the most uneventful Super Bowl ever apparently qualifies you as “famous and elite.”

Although the Met Gala is a silly excuse for celebrities to celebrate being celebrities, receiving an invite is one of the most lucrative and exclusive aspects of the “celebrity” phenomenon. So we can’t help but be proud of our boy for being considered worthy of dressing to the nines with the super rich and famous.
