Justice Chicken Opens On Calder Way

Justice Chicken, a new chicken restaurant in downtown State College, quietly opened its doors this week.

Located at 218 E. Calder Way, Justice Chicken aims to bring a different flair to the borough’s restaurant scene.

“We wanted to open something unique and with a Mediterranean twist on it,” said Hitham Hiyajney, who owns both Justice Chicken and Yallah Taco. “The theme we are using here is the Justice League from DC Comics. We have a lot of superheroes on the walls and the Super Chicken on the logo. We call it Justice Chicken, from the Justice League idea.”

Justice Chicken’s selections include a number of chicken sandwiches, full-fledged platters, and side dishes.

Justice Chicken’s current menu

The restaurant’s menu features some items similar to Yallah Taco, such as The Hurricane, which comes with crispy chicken tenders, fries, and special sauces wrapped in a tortilla. It also offers some Meditteranean inspired options. as well as four different kinds of fries.

Justice Chicken is located in the former space of Underground Burgers, which merged with Smash Falafel and moved next door. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on the weekends.
