Penn State Football Announces Slate Of Virtual ‘Blue-White’ Events
Although you (probably) can’t head to Beaver Stadium in person this week, a full slate of virtual events should help you enjoy what would normally be Penn State football’s Blue-White weekend.
The team is putting on a full slate of events on Saturday, April 17, to recognize the Nittany Lions’ final spring practice. It’ll include a handful of virtual festivities for the folks at home, too.
The slate begins at 10 a.m. with the “#WeAre Challenge.” Through it, fans are encouraged to share posts and photos on Facebook and Twitter showcasing their pride for the team. To participate, use “#WeAre” in posts on either platform.
From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., host Mitch Gerber will give viewers a live look around campus and showcase sporting events taking place throughout the weekend. The stream, which will be available on the team’s Facebook page, will also feature the Blue Band.
At 11 a.m., Penn State football will release its 2021 virtual spring poster on all of its social media platforms. You can check out its full season schedule ahead of time here.
Beginning at noon, Penn State will provide both live check-ins via its Instagram and Twitter pages as well as a live radio show on the Penn State Sports network. The latter, hosted by Steve Jones and former linebacker Jack Ham, will include interviews and updates from the practice.
