Former Penn State Football Wideout John Dunmore Transfers To Oregon State
Former Penn State wide receiver John Dunmore is transferring to Oregon State, he announced via Twitter Wednesday afternoon.
Dunmore, a former four-star recruit, withdrew from the program this past October and entered the transfer portal shortly after.
The Florida native appeared in one game for the Nittany Lions during his first season with the team in 2019. In Penn State’s 35-7 win over Purdue, the 6’1″ wideout saw some action but was unable to garner any targets.
Before withdrawing from the program due to “personal reasons,” Dunmore was listed as a second-string wide receiver on the team’s 2020 spring depth chart earlier in the year. Due to his withdrawal from the program, however, he was left off the most recent depth chart prior to the 2020 season.
Despite Dunmore’s departure, Taylor Stubblefield’s group is loaded with talent heading into the 2021 season. Last season’s breakout star Jahan Dotson headlines the position, while up-and-coming players Parker Washington and KeAndre Lambert-Smith attempt to improve on impressive true freshmen campaigns.
