Penn State Football Offensive Lineman Sal Wormley Declares For 2025 NFL Draft

Penn State football guard Sal Wormley has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced Tuesday evening. Wormley played six seasons with the Nittany Lions and started 42 games.

Wormley is one of the most veteran players on Penn State’s roster. The Smyrna, Delaware native was a four-star recruit in the class of 2019 and was the No. 1 player from Delaware and the No. 17 guard in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Wormley redshirted his freshman year and appeared in three games during the shortened nine-game 2020 season. In 2021, he missed the entire season due to injury and didn’t make his first career start until 2022 as a redshirt junior. Wormley started every game that season and was named All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches and the media.

In 2023, he started in all 13 games and was named All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches and the media again. Wormely started all 16 games this past season.

Wormley is the sixth Nittany Lion and first offensive player to declare for the NFL Draft, joining safeties KJ Winston and Jaylen Reed, cornerback Jalen Kimber, defensive end Abdul Carter, defensive tackle Dvon J-Thomas, and linebacker Kobe King.
