Alumni Association To Students: “No Contact Info for You!”

As students count the days until THON, a noticeable change has been made to the philanthropy's fundraising policy.

To protect alumni from a barrage of donation requests, the Penn State Alumni Association has decided to no longer disseminate alumni contact information to student organizations for solicitation purposes.

Future Attorneys Take to the Courtroom

Classrooms became courtrooms this past weekend as Penn State hosted the 3rd Annual Happy Valley Invitational. The HVI is an multi-round intercollegiate mock trial competition that features over 18 regional teams. Included among these are two Penn State teams, Yale University, Georgetown University and Cornell University to name a few.

Campus Leaders to Host Race Debate

University Park Undergraduate Association President Christian Ragland, Association of Residence Hall Students Diversity Chair Johnnie Geathers, and NAACP President Travis Salters will host a forum titled "What's Race Got to Do With It?" tonight from 7-9 p.m. in the Waring Cultural Lounge.

Ex-Penn State Employee Arraigned

Talk about getting your hand caught in the cookie jar.

Heather M. Miller, a former administrative assistant in the Office of Student Life at Penn State Altoona, was arraigned Wednesday in Magisterial Court on felony theft charges after reportedly stealing $32,210.63, according to the Altoona Mirror. The thefts occurred from May 2008 to August of this year, when school auditors confronted Miller about inconsistencies in the books.

Sky is the Limit for PSU Grads

A Sunday Centre Daily Times article featured a pair of Penn State alumni who share a unique distinction. Maj. David Fitzsimmons, class of 1998, and Capt. Steve Gaugler, class of 1997, are part of an elite group of Marine Corps pilots.
