Penn State IFC Spring Recruitment 2011

The Interfraternity Council  Spring Recruitment is officially underway! My name is Ryan Fracalossi and I’m a senior at Penn State and the IFC Vice President for Recruitment. If you are interested in becoming a fraternity member, now is the opportunity. The recruitment registration form can be found at psu-ifc-recruit.com.

Only students with a 2.5 GPA or above will be allowed to register for recruitment. Joining a fraternity is a lifelong commitment to your chapter’s brotherhood. All chapters within the IFC share a common bond of holding themselves to a higher standard and holding each other accountable. Joining a fraternity presents many opportunities, including meeting many different people through philanthropy and extracurricular activities.

To find out more about spring recruitment, potential recruits are asked to attend one of three IFC Recruitment Information Sessions. This sessions will explain the recruitment process and give the potential recruits a glimpse into what it is like to be a fraternity member.

IFC has specific “Zone Event” days scheduled throughout this week. On these days fraternities will be hosting alcohol-free open events based on their location, or “zone”. For two weeks after the zone events, fraternities will be allowed to schedule open alcohol-free recruitment events on the day of their choice.

Recruits can learn more about Spring recruitment by liking “Penn State IFC Spring Recruitment 2011” on Facebook. This page will keep them updated on upcoming recruitment events.
