James Franklin looks to lead the football team to new heights in his first season as head coach. Enthusiastic Pat Chambers has the men’s basketball team playing a scrappy and exciting brand of basketball, while Coquese Washington’s Lady Lions look to capture another conference championship. The wrestling team remains in position to repeat as National Champions, and the men’s hockey team will look to build on a solid 2014 season at Pegula Ice Arena this winter.

0 Penn State Baseball Swept By No. 1 TCU

Coach Rob Cooper’s Nittany Lions didn’t get off to the start that they envisioned this weekend as they were swept by No. 1 TCU down in Forth Worth, TX. A combination of inconsistent pitching and defense combined with the inability to get the bats going forced the Lions back to Happy Valley without a win to start the season.

0 Penn State’s Athletes Can’t Always Make It To THON, But Still Play FTK

“It really sucks to be honest,” softball pitcher Marlaina Laubach said. “THON is something that Penn State takes a lot of pride in and something that a lot of kids have a really great opportunity to take part in. It’s really unfortunate [that we can’t be there], but at the same time, we do have to recognize that we’re here for a reason and we are representing our university just like all of the kids at THON are representing the university.”
