Observations: Wisconsin

I was lucky enough to make the trip out to Wisconsin this weekend for the game. Although it was painful to watch, I had a great time in Madison (until about the middle of the second quarter). Here are some observations I took away from the atmosphere at Camp Randall.

Wisconsin Embarrasses Penn State in the Regular Season Finale

Penn State's regular season came to an end in embarrassing fashion on Saturday, losing to Wisconsin (10-2, 6-2 Big Ten) 45-7 in Madison. With the loss, the Nittany Lions (9-3, 6-2 Big Ten) will not play in the Big Ten Championship game, and dreams of a trip to the Rose Bowl are dashed.

Gameday: Penn State at Wisconsin

Penn State is in Madison, Wisc., to take on the Badgers for a spot in the Big Ten Championship game. According to AccuWeather, it is going to be 50 degrees and cloudy at Camp Randall at game time. If you are not one of the Penn State fans that has made the trip to Wisconsin, follow Onward State and Statecollege.com for all your gameday needs.

Addition Planned for Aged Natatorium

Good news in Happy Valley is hard to come by these days, but Cannon Design of Baltimore, MD will soon be making a splash on campus. The architects were recently approved to design an addition to the existing McCoy Natatorium. Read more about it after the jump!

Penn State-Wisconsin Preview

Penn State heads to Madison, Wisc., on Saturday for, as the cliche goes, all the marbles. The winner of the Nittany Lions-Badgers match-up will head to the Big Ten Championship game. The loser will be relegated to playing in a bowl game that lacks in prestige and importance. In a season filled with pressure-packed situations, Penn State will face one more in the regular season finale.

On Thanksgiving, Some Time to Reflect

Most of us have taken the week to return to our families outside of the isolated enclave we call State College. Leaving our hyper-Penn State-centric home, concentrated at about 40,000:1, certainly has given me some perspective about what has happened both in the football program and to us as a university community.
