Ingrosso and Alesso Light Up BJC

EDM superstar Sebastian Ingrosso, one-third of supergroup Swedish House Mafia, performed at the Bryce Jordan Center last night along with openers Alesso, a rising star in the genre, and David Solano, a regular Dayglow DJ. It was no surprise to see Solano, as the event, named State of Emergency, was hosted by Dayglow's parent company, Committee Entertainment.

Back By Popular Demand: A Visit From State Patrick

A year ago, I was challenged to come up with a poem about State Patty's Day to which I said, "Challenge accepted". A Visit From State Patrick was born and posted the day before State Patty's 2011. Now, with popular demand wanting it to be republished, I present it to you again. We would just republish the old story, but the poem was printed onto a picture which was lost when we switched servers. It is important to note that this is NOT AN ENDORSEMENT of State Patty's Day. I wrote the poem and I wish the "holiday" would die once and for all. That should quell any fears of the editorial staff being hypocrites as it pertains to SPD.

College GOP Debates Itself. Sorta.

Last night, the Political Science Association held its first debate in ten months. These debates are typically a trivial affair. The Political Science Association invites several political organizations, definitely more than needed, to debate a topic that one of the groups had selected. To herald in the return of political discourse on campus, Thursday night's debate was on entitlements, a subject selected by the College Republicans. While the Republicans arrived ready to handle the attacks from three other parties, their preparation was for naught. The three other political organizations did not attend.
