Last night's University Park Undergraduate Association general assembly meeting was certainly eventful. There was Christmas music blasting before the meeting began. There were assembly members in red and green, including Diversity Committee Chair Dutch Markward, who wore Christmas-themed suspenders. There was legislation to give a ton of your student activity fee money to Movin' On because they can't afford the acts that they want. There was even a new Academic Affairs Committee Chair elected. FutuRES, a THON fundraising organization will be hosting its annual “pie your RA benefiting THON” event this Friday 5:30pm-8:00pm in Pollock Commons.
As of this morning, student tickets are now on sale for Penn State's matchup against the Vermont Catamounts in the Philadelphia College Hockey Faceoff on January 19th. The game will take place at the Wachovia Center, the home of the Philadelphia Flyers, with the puck set to drop at 7:30 p.m.
