David Joyner to Remain Athletic Director

Despite widespread message board rumors and unsourced Twitter rumblings, Penn State announced today that acting athletic director David Joyner would remain AD for the duration of President Rodney Erickson's tenure.

Martin Luther King Jr’s Rec Hall Speech

Bowman and Stupar Super Bowl Bound

Former Penn State linebackers NaVorro Bowman and Nate Stupar will represent the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII against the Baltimore Ravens. This marks the 42nd time that a Penn State alum will appear on Super Bowl Sunday, and 35 former players have rings. While he did not attend Penn State, Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell, coached in Happy Valley for seven years on Joe Paterno's staff as quarterbacks coach for the Nittany Lions. For Bowman, breaking up a 4th down pass that halted the Atlanta Falcons drive with a minute to go was the pinnacle of a three year progression that has seen him go from a promising 3rd round draft selection to a Pro Bowl linebacker that finished second in the regular season with 149 tackles.

Wrestling Wins Duals Over Wisconsin and Purdue

The Penn State wrestling team took on Wisconsin in Rec Hall Friday night and headed to Purdue on Sunday, only losing three bouts between the two matches, despite missing Andrew and Dylan Alton.

Men’s Volleyball Takes Down Lewis in First Home Match

The 6th ranked Men's Volleyball team took down #12 Lewis in a packed south gym in Rec Hall on Friday night in four sets (25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 25-18) to improve to 6-1 on the season as senior Tom Comfort led the Nittany Lions with 18 kills.
