The THON Fashion show was a hit. All of the participants looked great in their Penn State gear.
It’s the 17th hour in the BJC, and from the looks of it, it’s filled with energy and enthusiasm in the stands and on the floor. That being said, I know there are parts of the BJC that we can’t see from inside of THON, and I know there are some committee members that have shifts in places where there isn't much going on, and times where standing just doesn't sound so appealing anymore.
It was a slow morning at THON around 7 a.m on Saturday. The Onward State staff slapped their faces to keep from drifting off, the shrill notes of the Greek Hour musical "performances" still ringing in our ears. All of a sudden an ad for something called the "THON Salon" flashed across the jumbo tron. Intrigued, fellow OS writer Zack Rutstein and I set off in search of answers -- anything to break the monotony of the stagnant press row.
My Hero Zero got everyone dancing and singing in the BJC with classics and songs from the past year.
Something as amazing as THON always attracts its fair share of celebrity endorsements, and the Kardashians have always been some of the more prominent. Four of the Kardashian sisters tweeted messages of support for everyone THONning this weekend. Hopefully one of these years, they'll show up to THON!
Hershey-based band Gates Tomorrow woke up the crowd this morning as THON crept through the mid-morning hours, delivering a vintage setlist that had everyone in the BJC dancing.
