The Penn State Board of Trustees committee on Legal and Compliance met this afternoon to discuss a number of issues before tomorrow’s full board meeting, including an overview of Penn State’s compliance program and progress on the Freeh Report recommendations.

The Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Governance and Long-Range Planning met this afternoon and recommended a slew of changes to the university charter, bylaws, and standing orders, in what was described as the “most comprehensive change” made to organizational documents in Penn State’s history.

The HUB Expansion Explained

Rumblings about a HUB expansion have reached a fever pitch in recent weeks, especially with the first specs of the project being revealed on a series of signs in front of the HUB information desk. The Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning discussed the new project in-depth this morning, which will add an additional 54,800 square feet and renovate 52,000 square feet to the HUB-Robeson Center.

NCAA Bans Hashtags From Football Fields, Ends World Hunger

Mark Emmert and friends have saved the integrity of college athletics once again.

The NCAA football rules committee announced this week new regulations about what can and cannot be painted on a football field. Included in the ruling is the statement, "...social media designations such as URL’s and hashtags, are prohibited."

Men’s Volleyball Final Four Preview

The Penn State Men's Volleyball team will compete in its 15th straight Final Four tonight against #1 BYU. The match will start at 11 p.m. EST in UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. Whichever team emerges victorious will face either Loyola-Chicago or UC Irvine in the National Championship on Saturday.
