Penn State Pushing Last Minute Season Ticket Sales

With only 19 days until Penn State kicks off against Syracuse, the athletic department is still scrambling to fill up Beaver Stadium. After all, Big Ten players voted Beaver Stadium the toughest place to play in the conference, and we certainly have a reputation to uphold. To help get more fans in the seats, current season ticket holders were emailed a special offer to purchase more season tickets at face value without any further base donation.

State College to Welcome First Marathon in 30 Years

For the first time since 1984, there will be an official marathon offered on Penn State’s campus and the surrounding area, as opposed to the traditional half marathon. The last known marathon in the region was the Nittany Valley Track Club’s series that ran from 1972 to 1984, said John Hook, president of the Mount Nittany Conservancy.

Tim Murphy Named New Swimming and Diving Coach

For the past 15 years, Murphy has led the Harvard men's swimming program. While there, he compiled a 122-11 dual meet record and earned six Eastern Intercollegiate Swimming League titles.

Women’s Volleyball Ranked No. 2 in AVCA Preseason Poll

The Penn State Women's Volleyball dynasty is expected to continue for at least another year, as the team is ranked No. 2 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association preseason poll released yesterday. Penn State received three first place votes, second to only last year's national champion Texas.
