I went on a mission to find out all I could about State College's tattoo culture straight from the sources. I visited every shop in State College to talk with anyone who would give me the time of day to see how many people they've inked in Happy Valley, what kind of stuff makes them cringe, and whether they had any particularly good stories after working in a business that was born from the taboo.
The Nittany Lions (3-1) open the Big Ten conference slate tomorrow against the Indiana Hoosiers (2-2) on the road. The Hoosiers aren't the toughest challenge that Penn State will face over the course of the season, but the team has a very prolific offense featuring one of the Big Ten's best passing attacks. In a series that dates back to 1993, Penn State will head into Bloomington undefeated against Indiana, topping the Hoosiers in each of their 16 prior meetings.
Penn State defeated Indiana in three sets in Bloomington to give them an overall 11-2 record.
