A nomadic, upcycling store will make its way to the courtyard outside the Palmer Art Museum next Wednesday from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The Palmer Pop Up Thrift Shop is organized by students Michael Grasso, Tessa Sontheimer, Sloane King, and Caleb Bernstein as an assignment for Art in the Anthropocene class, taught by Heather Davis.
Since its foundation in 1972, the students in Eco Action have helped give life to the environmentalist movement on campus. Celebrate Earth Day with Eco Action this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the HUB Auditorium for a screening of the film "Plastic Paradise" followed by a discussion on current environmental topics.
Sigma Chi fraternity kicked off its annual week-long philanthropy Sunday, known lovingly as Derby Days. "Saturday Night Live" regulars Vanessa Bayer and Kate McKinnon, along with MTV's "Pranked" host and SNL writer Streeter Seidell, brought high energy and a little touch of the weekly sketch show to Happy Valley, and tailored their jokes to the Penn State student crowd.
