Sculpted out of bronze and weighing more than 1,000 pounds, the sculptures memorialize different bird species that all suffered extinction by 1932.
Students can now apply to become summer orientation leaders to help guide the incoming freshmen class around campus.
"From a coaching standpoint and for our staff, this is a great opportunity to learn a lot about ourselves. That's really what I'm most excited about."
