As you probably know, it is the two year anniversary of Joe Paterno's death. It also happens to be the anniversary of, in my estimation, one of the most profound speeches in Penn State history.
Last Friday's Board of Trustees meeting yielded little major news compared to most Board meetings, at least publicly. But there was one piece of good news that came out of President Rodney Erickson's remarks at the beginning of the meeting: Penn State applications are up, and up big.

It's going to be tough to see Larry Johnson on Ohio State's sideline when the Buckeyes make the trip to Beaver Stadium on October 25. It will probably to tough for Johnson, too, who has spent the last 18 seasons in Happy Valley and had three children graduate from Penn State, including two football players.
