Looking for something to do with your friends this weekend other than anxiously wait for Sunday night’s Game of Thrones premiere? Pegula Ice Arena is hosting its first-ever broomball tournament this Saturday, April 5 from 1 to 6p.m.
While Penn State may hold a dance marathon that’s the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, it doesn’t hold the only dance marathon. There are many universities across America that fundraise in a year-long effort, have executive committees, and dance for hours on hours — just like we do — in support of all sorts of great causes. Here are a few we’ve ranked as the top fundraisers.
Applications for the THON Executive Committee are now available on THON.org under the Documents section and are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28 in 210 HUB.
Here are just a few of the new families who came to THON this year, and what they thought after walking into the BJC for their very first time as a Four Diamonds family with their brand-new org.
Next year, THON will add a 16th position to its current 15-member Executive Committee. The function of the Rules and Regulations Director will be replaced with two new positions: R&R Event Safety Director and R&R Volunteer Safety Director.
By the end of this coming weekend, you’ll have laughed thousands of times with your friends, danced hundreds of times to the best mix of music, and cried a few too many times from deliria and listening to heart-breaking cancer stories.
