Penn State Men’s Soccer Preview

New head coach Bob Warming couldn't have come into a better situation in his first year in Happy Valley. Last year, the Nittany Lions men's soccer team had a 12-8-2 record, good enough to earn them the #7 overall seed and a first-round bye in the NCAA Tournament.

While they lost to semifinalist Maryland in the second round, the experience gained by the nine starters and 16 lettermen Warming has returning will hopefully light a spark and lead them to greater heights this year and help to make Warming's job a little easier (something even the sixth-winningest active coach in college soccer wouldn't mind).

Will Penn State Soon See Varsity Hockey?

Hockey at a Division I varsity level may soon become a reality at Penn State as the Altoona Mirror is reporting that talks of a new arena being built on campus are heating up and a deal for construction is close to being completed. If this were to occur, both men's and women's varsity hockey teams would be formed.

THON Night Heads to Philly After PSU Game

With last month's THON Night at the Pirates Game being such a rousing success, the Penn State Dance Marathon is at it again, allowing the Keystone State's other baseball team to help support the cause with THON Night at the Phillies game. On September 4th, the Phils will take on the Milwaukee Brewers and proceeds from online ticket sales to the game will be donated to THON.
