With THON season well underway, and Family Carnival just around the corner, we're picking things back up with our Director series This week, we sat down with Blake Ament, the Family Relations Director for THON 2016.

Sandra Fluke, who spoke Wednesday night in Alumni Hall as part of SPA's Distinguished Speaker Series, is a smart, funny, down-to-earth woman, and a great public speaker. She knows her audience, knows her facts, and knows what she doesn't know.

Penn State alumnus Chris Ulmer's video of him starting each class day by complimenting his special needs students went viral. We talked to him and found out how and why his idea came about.

From studying with students to leading a “We Are!” chant, it seems that there isn’t much this robot can’t do. Nao, a robot brought to life by Penn State Information Sciences and Technology, showcased its skills on Nov. 21 at a tailgating event with President Eric Barron.

"He can do a little bit of everything. He can shoot, drive, big -- 6-foot-6, he can rebound, he can defend really well," Shep Garner said. "He’s a big part of our team. We love Payton."
