Big Bite will be giving away free wings with a THON donation of a dollar or more.
The discussion will focus on self-segregation at Penn State and aims answer the event's leading question: "Why do we choose to surround ourselves with people who look and act like us instead of branching out and diversifying our lives?"
Homecoming includes 16 captain committees with more than 100 total captains, each with unique responsibilities to organize the university's annual Homecoming celebration and surrounding events.
"It just seems appropriate to let the current operators and the establishments, as everyone knows them, to have their moment before talking about the future."
THON's first-ever showcase will feature performances from 15 different organizations, committees, and independent dancer couples.
"I’ve been blessed to have achieved a high-level of success in both sports and business and feel a responsibility to serve the community that has done so much for me," Short said.
