The American Cancer Society awarded UPUA $20,000 to further its efforts in making Penn State's campuses smoke-free, which is the first grant the organization has ever received.

The event will be centered around the resources available for people facing gender-based/sexual harassment or discrimination (falling under Title IX) at Penn State and in Centre County.
The project is expected to finish by November 23 and will allow better traffic control throughout the area.
The week will include various events each day to facilitate conversation about transgender issues and will conclude with Transgender Day of Remembrance on Sunday, November 20.
