Sneak Peek: Pegula Ice Arena

Even though ground has not yet been broken, the Penn State community has gotten a pretty convincing glimpse of the soon-to-be Pegula Ice Arena. This new facility is currently in the works due to a $88 million donation by natural gas tycoon Terry Pegula. Thanks to a few released renderings and drawings of the facility, we can get a pretty good idea of what the new Icers' home will look like. Check out some artists' conceptual images after the jump!

Verizon CEO Dan Mead to Deliver Lecture on Thursday

Penn State Distinguished Alumnus Dan Mead is set to deliver his lecture "Technology Leadership and Collaboration in a Connected World" at 4 p.m. on campus at the Carnegie Cinema on Thursday. Mead earned degrees in quantitative business analysis and finance as well as an MBA from Penn State. In 2010, he received the Penn State Distinguished Alumni Award which is the highest award that can be given to a graduate.

Crisis Informatics Speaker Series Debuts Tonight

Andrea Tapia and her SRA 397A class will host the inaugural Crisis Informatics Speaker Series at 6:30 in 202 IST Building. During October, the Series will present four speakers who will talk about mitigating disasters, natural and manmade.

Jason O Serves Tunes for Lunch
