Doppelheuer Resigns Committee Chairmanship

Facilities Committee Chair Tyler Doppelheuer shocked most of the members of UPUA last night when he announced his resignation from the assembly.

After giving his committee report, Doppelheuer remained standing to inform everyone of his decision to resign, saying he could not make the Wednesday night meetings this semester. He added, however, that this is not the end of his involvement with UPUA altogether.

Urban Meyer As JoePa’s Successor? Yes, Please.

With reports surfacing of mutual interest between Penn State and former Florida head coach Urban Meyer, fans seem to be divided on whether Meyer should be a candidate to become JoePa's successor. Except, that is, for the football atmosphere at Beaver Stadium. While Penn State has remained grounded in its roots on the gridiron, the gameday experience just outside it has lost its soul.

The State of the Football Program

Penn State football is generally considered one of the most storied and honorable programs in college football. Led by the holy Joe Paterno, it has achieved massive success during his long tenure as head coach. The last few years, however, have been years that Penn State fans would rather forget. The program seems to be stuck in a funk of mediocrity that doesn’t even approach the stratosphere of expectations that PSU fans have for Paterno-led squads.
